While Disney World is an amazing place to visit all year round, there's guaranteed to be rain at some point in the year, like there is most every where else. Today's blog is meant to give you tips on the best parks and attractions to visit on a rainy day in Disney!

Magic Kingdom
Indoor Attractions: 30
Outdoor Attractions: 51
Magic Kingdom is definitely one of the best places to visit on a rainy day in Disney! Most of the popular rides are indoors too, including rides like "It's A Small World", "Pirates of the Caribbean", and "Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin". If it's not raining too hard, some of the outdoor attractions should be open as well, such as "Splash Mountain", "Big Thunder Mountain", and the "Jungle Cruise". They also provide good protection from the rain, at times.

Epcot
Indoor Attractions: 24
Outdoor Attractions: 40
Epcot, being the second best place to visit on a rainy day in Disney, has about all of it's most popular rides and attractions inside, including Soarin', Mission Space, and Spaceship Earth. Even though Test Track is mostly inside, unfortunately if it gets too rainy, they will close it due to part of the ride being outdoors. But luckily, the World Showcase doesn't shut down due to rain! Although walking around Epcot (especially the World Showcase) might be less than "ideal", if you bring an umbrella or raincoat you can still have a great time!

Hollywood Studios
Indoor Attractions: 16
Outdoor Attractions: 14
Although Hollywood Studios' most popular attractions such as the Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, Star Tours, and Toy Story Midway Mania are indoor attractions, many of the shows are cancelled. Since Hollywood Studios focuses mainly on theater, movies, and shows, you probably won't get the full "Hollywood Studios experience" on a rainy day. However, there's still the main road where you can enjoy shopping for souvenirs, clothes, and Mickey ears!

Animal Kingdom
Indoor Attractions: 9
Outdoor Attractions: 34
Animal Kingdom is probably the worst place to visit on a rainy day in Disney. Pretty much all of this park's main + most popular attractions are outdoors, including the Kali River Rapids, Primeval Whirl, Expedition Everest, and the Kilimanjaro Safaris. Luckily for anyone who loves riding Expedition Everest, it won't shut down because of rain unless the rain gets really heavy. The purpose of Animal Kingdom is to teach you about nature and the animals around us, so this park is best avoided when it's raining, or the weather isn't a great as it could be.

8 Hidden Secrets At Walt Disney World

Hello everyone! Welcome to my Disney blog, MouseEars. Here you can find hidden facts, tips, and advice for you to use on your next Disney trip! Thanks for stopping by. :)

For today's blog, I'm going to be writing about some of my favorite hidden secrets to look out for in your next trip to Walt Disney World.
(Also happy January 1st, aka New Year's Day!)

1. If you visit the hat shop on Main Street (Magic Kingdom) you will be able to see an old payphone on the wall. You can pick up the phone and listen in on conversations.

2. There's a well outside Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular (Hollywood Studios) with a rope. There's a sign there that says "DO NOT PULL THE ROPE", but of course you should pull it!

3. At the Be Our Guest restaurant in Fantasyland (Magic Kingdom) you can ask your waiter or waitress for the "grey stuff". It's part of the secret dessert menu.

4. If you get to the Magic Kingdom park about 15-20 minutes before the park opens, you'll be able to watch the Train Station Welcome Show.

5. In Animal Kingdom there's a less crowded entrance located to the left of the main entrance by entering the Rainforest Cafe. You just have to walk through the restaurant gift shop, and you'll be able to enter the park with hardly any crowds.

6. When in line for the Haunted Mansion (Magic Kingdom  you might be able to see a wedding ring embedded into the concrete. Many visitors believe this ring belonged to the hanging bride, who you see while on the ride.

7. While your on Tom Sawyer's Island (Magic Kingdom) you can look around for a paintbrush that is Tom Sawyer keeps carelessly dropping. If you find it, you'll want bring it to the first employee you see. You will get a reward, that I think (I'm not completely sure, as I've never found the paintbrush) is free fast passes for one ride.

8. When you're walking around Main Street (Magic Kingdom), look for the USA firehouse. Just above the firehouse, there's a secret apartment that many visitors don't know about.

Well, those are my favorite hidden secrets at Walt Disney World. Be sure to look out for them next time you visit!
